This needs to be a fast find page of first stage help organisations that are useful in a tight spot. If someone has the time to type more up and send them to me I will put them here.

for All Emergencies call 999 the operator will help determine who they need to call for you.

(as from this year all EU countries including Ireland have agreed to use 112 in addition to their existing emergency number. So anywhere in the EU you can phone 112 in an emercercy. Nearly all operators speak several languages including english)
