Castletownbere Tidy Towns are a voluntary group, who work hard to keep Castletownbere tidy and an attractive place to live in. Recently young people in the Transition Year with their teacher Ms. O'Dwyer from Castletownbere Community School (in conjunction with Castletownbere Tidy Towns committee) undertook to translate the article below into most of the languages that are spoken in the Castletownbere area today. (The amazing result can be seen online here). This is the text of the english version: The tidy towns committee are very concerned about the amount of dumping of litter and rubbish in and around the town.

Caha Centre Summer Camps 2010
Come and enjoy the summer at our NATURE THEMED Summer Camps

Following the huge success of last year's Caha Summer Camps we are keeping the same mixture of games, art, drama and, of course, FUN! This year, we are going to focus on the NATURAL WORLD - all around us, everywhere we look, and in everything we see!
The Camp will run from 10.00am to 3.00pm every day.
The main group will be divided into smaller groups of mixed ages and abilities and will have a mentor throughout the week, working with them, taking them to each working session. Games, Drama, Art, Nature, Fun!, Creativity, More Fun!, T-shirts, Masks, Felt Work, Even MORE Fun!!
The Leaders:

This year's leaders are the already well-known Sean O'Laoghaire (Pictured), and Fiona Harrington who we are pleased to welcome back to beautiful Beara from her travels in New Zealand. This year, Sean and Fiona are bringing their love of heritage, local culture and the natural world to the Summer Camps. There will, of course, still be lots of emphasis on having fun!
Sean says:
"There will be a real sense of fun at this year's camps. Leaders from last year are returning - they're looking forward to meeting old friends and making new ones. The inclusive and professional, yet informal, atmosphere that the Caha Centre maintains will always be present. See you soon!
